We finished up one of our largest jobs yet this week at the port. Over 120,000lbs of stainless steel and 80,000lbs of ductile steel removed!

Steel prices over the past few weeks have been creeping down slowly, now cut in half from what they were at. Copper prices are still good though!

Now buying Steel/Iron/Shredables again!

Last year, steel dropped so far in price we had to stop purchasing it at our scales. Today, we are buying it again! We take all ferrous materials now and pay for them!

Pickup is avaialble, but a fee may be involved, depending on the material and your ability to load it.

We are also actively looking to pick up heavy machinery, contact us for more information.

Computer Drop-off Center

We are now accepting used computer towers for recycling. You may drop them off at our location anytine during busienss hours free of charge and they will be recycled. We are not accepting CRT monitors at this time however.

For businesses with large server rooms that need to be cleared, please use the contact form or email us at damon@daniascrap.com with a picture of what is to be removed. We may be able to haul away your computers free of charge.

When will the price of copper stop soaring back up. Most people see it as good news, I personally see another crash about to happen. The current economic state does not warrant copper prices being this high. I have been wrong before, hopefully this time I am wrong as well!

On a side note, bring your copper in while the price is good!

Copper up to it's highest in 9 months on demand speculation.

Some of the better news in the past year, copper prices are up to a 9 month high due to chinese demand speculation. Copper reached 2.51 on the COMEX yesterday, though it is down a few pennies this morning. Let's see how it holds out through tomorrow and the weekend.

Yesterday we saw a huge gain on the COMEX market for copper, reaching $2.40/lb! It reached a year high record of $2.50 last month, but went down to $2.20 where it settled for the next couple of weeks. Today the market is trending down, we will see how long it can hold it's position in the mid $2.30's.
