Markets unstable at best

Sorry for the lack of updates, we have been busy with a couple of condo renovation jobs lately. Markets are unstable with copper taking a huge fall, recovering about 50% of what it lost and now falling again. We hope things will at least stabilize at some point in the near future. On the bright side, we are still buying scrap!

We offer 10 yard containers that can be placed in areas where a normal sized roll off box is just not feasible. Same day drop off and pickup is available as well as wait and load. We finished up one of our largest jobs yet this week at the port. Over 120,000lbs of stainless steel and 80,000lbs of ductile steel removed!

Steel prices down

Steel prices over the past few weeks have been creeping down slowly, now cut in half from what they were at. Copper prices are still good though!

Now buying Steel/Iron/Shredables again!

Last year, steel dropped so far in price we had to stop purchasing it at our scales. Today, we are buying it again! We take all ferrous materials now and pay for them!

Pickup is avaialble, but a fee may be involved, depending on the material and your ability to load it.

We are also actively looking to pick up heavy machinery, contact us for more information.

Computer Drop-off Center

We are now accepting used computer towers for recycling. You may drop them off at our location anytine during busienss hours free of charge and they will be recycled. We are not accepting CRT monitors at this time however.

For businesses with large server rooms that need to be cleared, please use the contact form or email us at damon@daniascrap.com with a picture of what is to be removed. We may be able to haul away your computers free of charge.

When will the price of copper stop soaring back up. Most people see it as good news, I personally see another crash about to happen. The current economic state does not warrant copper prices being this high. I have been wrong before, hopefully this time I am wrong as well!

On a side note, bring your copper in while the price is good!
